The most recent version of avast’s free review windows is clean and fresh and has clear sections for every tool in the suite. The large amount of space on the screen has meant that a few features have been buried. For example the homepage has shortcuts to run scans or activating the VPN. There are also links to a few less-than-useful tools to improve your system. However, the majority of the features of the program Discover More are hidden under the Explore tab. Installation is smooth and easy and you’re not pushed to upgrade; however, the initial scan will highlight “advanced issues” that will only be solved with a premium subscription.
